The Orchard
The new orchard will harvest mainly peaches and apples but will also include vegetables. The vegetables will consist of tomatoes, lettuce, pumpkins, and onions. Variety will be key to stretching out the harvest season to achieve maximum education. The orchard will be divided in half into two functions, experimental and production. The experimental side of the orchard will have dedicated plots of land where students can preform research and teach younger students hands-on. The production side of the orchard will be dedicated to growing successfully-known produce that can be reliable for a profit. In addition, the site will have a irrigation pond which will also be used for recreational purposes. The project will include a [1] orchard, consisting of a farmer’s market, a production facility, recreational storage, a community center, observatory and outdoor storage. [2] Multi-use housing will be designed for migrant/field workers, students, and faculty. [3] Educational facilities will be dedicated to university or college students and younger students (kindergarten through high school).

The screens placed on the camp lodging allows for privacy in the sleeping areas and provides a sense of security. It also serves as a shading device to help shield the sun.
The outcoves created by the camp loding provide areas where the campers can meet in groups. This creates a community atmosphere for the campers to get together
