The Unmentioned Modern Landscape
Pruitt-Igoe Now, St Louis MO
Pruitt-Igoe Now
Pruitt-Igoe Now competition is a call for ideas to re-imagine the 57-acres of which Pruitt-Igoe housing project once stood. After visiting the site, it was clear there was a lot of underlying history ofsite and city of which it lies on. To begin, my group and I began using various mapping techniques to study the deep history of its location. After careful analysis, a series of proposed sites were chosen and a proposal was developed for each site. These proposals included multiple community centers, a library, a museum, and a market place.
