Integration

 

Integrated garden apartments are located in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on the post 2016 Olympic Legacy site. Integrated garden apartments focuses on creating a smaller network community within an urban fabric. The buildings through their geometry and circulation allows the community of the garden apartments to focus inward towards the private courtyard spaces, but still allowing access to the public pedestrian paths.  The garden apartments have a vertical connection to the commercial and retail amenities on the ground level and the community convinces located directly within the community. The garden apartment buildings are directly mirrored across the boulevard road, satisfying program requirements. Pedestrian paths connect the two complexes allowing for interaction among the communities.
